3D Printer |
Japanese artist, Luke Jerram, creates sculptures motivated by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. A seismograph recording from the quake, consisting of multitudes of vertical lines, is reshaped using computer aided programing. Jerram alters the vertical lines to form a circular structure. The structure is then printed with a 3D printer. The results are 30cm x 20cm sculptures that represent nine minutes of the 2011 earthquake. The artwork was on display at the Jerwood Space Venue in London. Check out the link below for images of his work.
